From humble beginnings
Hey there, I’m Gary, the proud owner and workhorse behind Silverback Services. I’ve got an awesome wife named Kim who’s incredibly supportive and patient, plus four amazing kiddos.
You’ll often find me tinkering with stuff or lending a hand to friends and family around their homes and gardens. I get a real kick out of tackling DIY challenges, finding solutions, and not just finishing a job, but doing it right. I guess you could say I’m a bit of a perfectionist.
Sitting around idly just isn’t my thing. I always need to be busy, and when I finally crash at the end of the day, exhausted but satisfied, I know I’ve made good use of my time.
Solving problems around the house
After spending years stuck behind a desk, I couldn’t ignore the restlessness anymore. I started dedicating my weekends, evenings, and holidays to helping others with their DIY projects. Eventually, I took the leap and decided to work for myself. And let me tell you, it’s been a game-changer.
Every day brings a chance to learn something new, expanding my already massive repertoire of practical skills that I can put to use for others.
In my career, I’ve figured out that I’m just a problem solver for others, and being a handyman totally fits the bill. My business is kind of new, but over the last 30 years, I’ve been busy honing all sorts of skills to fix, create, and replace stuff around people’s homes and gardens. It’s been quite the journey!
